HASSRA Scotland hosted the 2009 National Chess Championships at the Beardmore Hotel, in Clydebank Glasgow.
2009 Winner:
All twelve HASSRA associations were represented at this two day event. The title this year was jointly won by Peter Jowatt (North West) and Jonathan Nelson (Yorkshire & The Humber)
2010 Event:
The next National Chess event will be staged on 1st & 2nd July 2010 in Bournemouth and will be hosted by HASSRA South West.
The competition is for one competitor from each HASSRA Association and will be played on a 5 round Swiss System Tournament basis.
