Welcome to Tennis This Championship is a team event. HASSRA’s team consists of Ladies doubles, Men’s doubles and Mixed doubles teams. As this event is organised by the CSSC (Civil Service Sports & Leisure), players are required to be members of both HASSRA and CSSC. | |
2011 Tennis Tournament – HASSRA Ladies A Team Triumph! | ||
HASSRA Ladies A Team were once again triumphant in winning the CSSC Ladies Team Doubles Tournament 2011 at the Gosling Sports Centre, Welwyn Garden City in October 2011. They regained the title from HMRC1 in a closely fought final match. This is the 11th time that HASSRA Ladies have won the title. The winning squad consisted of seasoned team members Joyce Langham (Wales) and Jane Rimmer (North West) and two newcomers to the national team, Carol Whittington (East Midlands) and Lorraine Cockell (East Midlands). |

With teams from HMRC, SPARTA, MOD, BT and HASSRA participating, there was plenty of play for everyone. The tournament was played on a round robin basis on indoor courts (in the bubble), hard courts and clay courts.
