I benefited from the HASSRA Sponsorship Scheme enabling me to achieve my goals and aims at the next level.

Having participated as a HASSRA athlete since around 2000 when I curtailed my football career of which I also competed within the dept, I have gradually improved over that time representing the dept in most disciplines of running, road, track and cross country. I thought that as I am now of veteran age it would be great to specialise in my favoured field track running.

The sponsorship has enabled me to target the World Indoor Championships in Clermont Ferrand, France next March where I aim to kick on from this season’s achievements.
