HASSRA FYLDE REGIONAL AWARDS 2012

Dear HASSRA Fylde Members,

We are writing to you to highlight the Regional Awards that Fylde presents each year. It is now time to sing both your clubs praises and those within your club who you feel may be deserving of one of these awards.

The regional awards are as follows:-

The Controllers Cup

The best sportsman

The Harold Atherton Rose Bowl

The best sportswoman

The Ossie Summers Cup

The best affiliated club

The Walter Beardsworth Trophy

The best club newsletter

The Whittaker Trophy

The best volunteer

The Graham Schofield Trophy

That special individual who has contributed to Hassra/CSSC over many years

Links to the nomination forms can be found above. I hope this is clear and self explanatory. You may have been involved in previous years and therefore understand what we would like you and your committee to do. If not and you need any clarification please contact my Awards Sub Committee Chair, Paul Whiteley either by email paul_whiteley@btinternet.com or by telephone on 01253 798065 and he will be able to help with any questions you may have.

I know that it may be quite a major task for you and your committee but these awards are there to recognise the efforts of the club and the outstanding efforts of the individuals. Regional winners go forward to the National Awards.

I hope that you will be able not only to nominate your club for the “Best Club” award but also individuals for the “Best Sportsman” and “Best Sportswoman of the year”.

You may also keep your membership informed via a club newsletter and we have a category for “Best newsletter” as well. Please make sure you nominate in this category as well.

No less important is the entry for the “Volunteer of the Year” award and you may find that while someone hasn’t the sporting prowess that would put them up with the Sporting elite, their club involvement ensures that without them many things just wouldn’t happen. It is often those club volunteers that do all the fundraising and may even be the ones who give their club a better image with fundraising activities in support of local charities.

There is a strict timetable and all nominations must be noted for the attention of Paul Whiteley and sent C/O Norcross Social Centre, Room 115, DWP, Norcross FY5 3TA, to arrive no later than 25 February 2012.

I look forward receiving your club nominating for the various awards and also look forward to seeing you at the Annual Awards Presentation evening.

Yours in Sport at HASSRA Fylde
