NXTTC-Secretary’s Report Season
- This season we had 2 teams in the Premier Division. The 1st team of Paul Gawne, Pete Dix, Kieron Beswick & Bruce Adamson finished mid table, due mainly to an impressive 71% average from Paul Gawne. The “A” team of Lee Nelson, Keith Bailey & Ian Goorney, finished 10th.
- In the 1st Division we had 3 teams. Our “B” team of Alan Garforth (92%), Ray Preston, Paul Bentley & Dave Partington finished top by 13 points and are promoted back to the Premier division. They also won the League Handicaps Competition beating Prebonds in the final by 18 points. This team narrowly missed out on the treble by losing 5-4 in a close fought Div 1 cup final.
- The “C” team finished 2nd bottom despite Tony Scarborough’s 68%, John Payne & Eamon Brady made up this team.
- Our “D” team consisting of Wayne Stephens, Bert Taylor & Tony Blanshard, who finished 8th.
- Our “E” team finished 2nd in Div 3 and are promoted. An impressive 98% from Jim Orrell who lost just 1 game all season helped by Keith Whittle 85%, Mike King 83% and Dave Heanaghan.
- Also in Div 3 the “F” team of Liz & Roy Kennaugh, Anne Mculloch & Mike Orrell finished 7th
