1st HASSRA Scotland Rambling Walk 2010The new HASSRA Rambling Club kicked off with a walk on 17th April from Drymen to Balmaha, part of the West Highland Way path. The eight intrepid walkers set off with the sun shining on us, walking through lovely forests and fields, crossing brooks and streams. It was a photographer’s paradise with the fresh green fields against the rugged browns of the bracken hills, with blue skies and the view of Loch Lomond behind. It rained slightly as we ascended Conic Hill, but what a view from the top. Lunch was a welcome stop to refuel, then a nice descent into Balmaha, just in time to get the bus back to Drymen and a well deserved cup of tea or hot chocolate in the Café. A lovely day out and great company.

HASSRA Scotland’s 2nd Ramble WalkThe second HASSRA Scotland Ramble to Kinlochard and Loch Ard, in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park in the Trossachs on the 8th May 2010. The sun shone all day for us, with spectacular views and a chance to watch a boat race on the Loch that was a qualifier round for the Olympic team. Photos from the second rambling walk at Kinlochard can be seen on the attached rambling presentation. Photographs courtesy of Stephen Reilly | |
