HASSRA 75TH ANNIVERSARY CHARITY FUND RAISER 2010

• 2010 is a year of celebration for all HASSRA members as we mark the 75th anniversary of the Association. To mark the occasion HASSRA is aiming to raise £75,000 nationally for charity.
• We all know that our local clubs and members do a fantastic job raising money for their own local charities throughout the year and HASSRA South East are asking that clubs inform them of all charity events stating how much is raised so that the amounts can be added to the grand total and help to achieve the £75,000 goal.
• In addition HASSRA South East will hold a draw for all the charities that they are informed of and the winning charity will receive £750. Entries to be accepted until 31 October 2010.
• So please email the South East Regional Office HASSRA South East giving details of the charity that is being supported, details of fund raising events and the amount raised. All entrants will go into the London charity draw with the winning charity adding an extra £750 to its funds!
• Don’t forget to check-out the cash-ometer on the HASSRA website www.hassra.org.uk to find out how well we are doing

HASSRA To Celebrate 75 Years

Dear All,

HASSRA South East are planning to have photos on display at our 2010 Special event: Viva Las Vegas

These are to celebrate 75 years of ‘HASSRA’ (and its previous incarnations).

With this in mind we would like every region to delve into their supplies of photos and newspaper clips from the past!

Ideally, we would like something showing:

• Particular moments of triumph (A national win possibly)
• At least one photo showing a regional team in the regional colours (whatever they were at the time!)
• Funny moments
• Fondly remembered faces from the past.
• Special Event memories
• Sportsday memories
• Something recent
• An assortment of events
• Anything you think fellow HASSRA members would be interested in!

When you find items you think will be appropriate please label the back of photos and enclose newspaper clippings in plastic wallet with label.

The label should include:

• The name of the person and region they came from so we can get them back to you.
• Date of item (if known).

HASSRA South East Charity Efforts

South East Members are known for their charity activities, and in this anniversary year we have linked with the Breast Cancer Care charity to promote and support their continuing good works. From their Strawberry Tea programme building towards their October awareness campaigns, there’s a load of events to get involved in and their fundraising packs give you all you need!
