West Midlands Activity Days

Information Sheet

• These events will both be held at Woodlands Camp, Bourne Vale, Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 0SH. Directions and other useful information will be issued to all successful applicants approximately 2 weeks before the event.
• The event will commence at 10am prompt and will conclude at approximately 4pm.
• The event on Wednesday 18th August 2010 is open to HASSRA West Midland members with any of their own children aged 8 to 16.In addition they can bring one adult guest.
• If you wish to attend as a spectator please state that on the form.
• A HASSRA member can apply for both but will only be eligible to attend one of the Activity Days.
• This event is funded by HASSRA West Midlands and there will be no charge for attendance. However please see Registration form as a charge may be levied if for any reason you are unable to attend and insufficient notice is given.

• E-mail will be issued to all successful applicants two weeks prior to each event to confirm that they are still available to attend and to provide directions and other useful information. If successful applicants are not at work during these periods they will be asked for alternative contact details.
• Cold drinks only will be provided. You will have to bring your own packed lunch sorry!
• In the likely event that any of the events are oversubscribed a random draw will be made for the places.
• Any members who haven’t been on an activity day before and don’t get selected will be given preference for places if there are any future activity days staged.
• All reasonable travelling expenses will be met for HASSRA members but if travelling by car to the venue we would request car sharing wherever possible.

HASSRA West Midlands Rambling Club

To kick start 2010 there is the opportunity to take part in a small hike with Birmingham Ramblers all at HASSRA expense.

These events are run by Birmingham Ramblers and there is no entry fee. All reasonable travel expenses incurred by the HASSRA member and a £5 meal allowance will be paid providing they email us before confirming the walk they are intending doing.

An expense form will be sent for completion after the event.(NB you can take guests but we won’t be able to pay expenses to them sorry)

These events are run by Birmingham Ramblers and if you have any query about these walks you can contact Pat Holmes on 0121 682 9889 (NB she is not a HASSRA member)

If we get a reasonable take up for these events we will be looking to hold our own exclusive walks for HASSRA

If you are interesting in representing the region at Netball please let us know. We have a growing number now involved. There will be plenty of opportunity for all Ladies to represent us in friendly and competitive matches in the future.

HASSRA West Midlands Golf Society

We have a vibrant Golf Society with male and female members and it’s free for HASSRA members to join! The Society provides the opportunity to play with other members at some fantastic venues in the West Midlands and around the country at reduced costs.

The Society holds at least 8 events a year, 5 matches are against other HASSRA regions. There are no restrictions on who plays, men and ladies with a wide range of handicaps are selected. HASSRA subsidise these matches and travel costs are reimbursed, reducing the cost for members.

The other 3 events are Golf Society days where all are welcome to enjoy a day out and have fun competition against a variety of opposition.

Golf is also one of the Sports, which has a National final with separate men’s and ladies competitions.
