2022 Report by David.G.Mills
The 2022 Regional Chess qualifier was held in Quarry House Leeds on 15 July 2022. The use of DGT2010 digital clocks facilitated a time control of 10 minutes per player with 10 second increments from move one. The order of play was determined by drawing lots.
Roger Jennings and Dale Cullum qualify to represent the region at the September festival. If unable to attend the place will be offered to Ian Strickland.

Rather hard on Ian Strickland who finished third after a play-off for runner up position in the 2021 National Final and was up against two much higher rated opponents on this occasion.
