Membership Recruitment and Retention
Recruitment remains a critical priority for everyone within the association and therefore an integral part of the Regional BOM/COM role. It is recommended that Regions have a recruitment – sub group, made up of Regional BOM/COM members. This group will be responsible for:
- analysing data provided by the National team to determine potential recruitment ‘hot spots’ and make provisions to recruit in this area
- identifying any regional recruitment opportunities and arrange for a regional/local representative to attend and promote HASSRA
- ensuring all local clubs have up to date promotional material/membership packs
- where possible attending recruitment events as requested by local clubs and/or any other groups, such as wellbeing
- agreeing initiatives to encourage new members – e.g. buddy draws, free prize draw.
- ensuring leavers are aware of the NAMS and Retired membership options
The National Team will support Regions with recruitment by:
- providing quarterly updates on recruitment activity – including NAMS
- providing SIP v membership figures at least once per year
- providing recruitment packs/leaflets and promotional items where necessary
- providing a powerpoint presentation
- attending large recruitment events when regional/local reps are unable to attend
- advising regions of any potential new starters or exit exercises
