Role of Regional BOM/COM

The regional board/committee members are elected by members at the AGM.

Led by the regional Chairperson they are responsible for:

  • taking a strategic view of the running of the region within the national framework
  • determining how the business of the region should be taken forward, including agreeing a budget
  • making decisions regarding the regional programme, including producing an annual schedule of events
  • creating a membership recruitment plan by analysing RM lists to identify hotspots
  • communicating regional information to members about events, competitions and membership benefits
  • sourcing and managing regional membership benefits
  • seeking to manage their affairs economically and efficiently to ensure that members always receive the best possible services and benefits
  • organising regional AGM and awards presentation
  • working together as a team, recognising and utilising individual talent and skills
