The April Challenge


To encourage you, the South East members and up to three family members to participate in fun, free and (hopefully) healthy exercise and to try to achieve as much as you can


 From 1st to 30th April 2021


Walking and/or Running as much distance as you can in the 30 days of April


Roads/­Paths/­Trails (and can include indoor running machines)


Only HASSRA South East members can make an entry – but that entry can include up to three family members, who can be non-members


First, sign on by going to HASSRA Live and selecting 'events', you will find the April Challenge icon there, click on it and complete your details.

Then, between 1st and 30th of April, Measure your distance as accurately as possible using whatever means available to you.

You must email the total distance of each person in your entry (shown in Kilometres to the nearest decimal point) – to andybashford71@gmail.com NO LATER than midnight on Tuesday 4th May


Final results will then be published on this website.


This is essentially a Challenge and as an incentive there will be a certificate for anyone doing more than the following:

HASSRA will make a donation to the participants local club charity based on 5p per kilometre covered. It reserves the right to cap the overall amount as agreed by the Regional Board of Management.

 Parti­­cipants are advised to:

• Plan their route carefully taking into account terrain, elevation, time of day and any access restrictions

• If going alone, inform someone where they are going and check back on their return

• If possible, carry a fully charged mobile phone

• Carry an ICE (in case of emergency) card or to store the information in their phone

• Know what to do in case of accident or emergency

Participants MUST:

• Ensure they are fit and well enough to undertake the session they intend to do

• Follow all current government Covid-19 guidelines

Important: All participants do so at their own risk. You must obey all the normal rules of the road and countryside and you must comply with all Covid guidance in place at the time
