Upper Derwent  & Howden Reservoir Walk

The Walk

This lovely circular 10 mile walk begins and ends at Fairholmes Visitor Centre, run by the Peak District National Park Authority. 

The route completes a circuit of both Derwent and Howden Reservoirs, with a beautiful old packhorse bridge as a great halfway point and picnic stop.  There is stunning countryside along the way, and for the most part the route uses well-made paths and lanes. 

'A beautiful walk along Derwent and Howden reservoirs. A truly beautiful part of the country and even more enjoyable with such a lovely group of people. I am so pleased that Hassra started this group as I'm not  really a sporty person and felt that I missed out on some of the Hassra activities. Not any more!. The walking club is suitable for everyone, gets you out in the fresh air and lets you make new friends. Come along - you'll definitely enjoy it. ' Bethia Lewis
