This will be held in Rhyl (using the same boats and skippers as in previous years).

As in past years this a FREE event for ALL HASSRA NW members (including retired / associate members), and HASSRA NW will be offering a subsidy of up to £50 per person for overnight accommodation, which can be claimed via expenses upon production of a receipt. (I would suggest that any hotel rooms are booked with a flexible cancellation policy – to avoid any unnecessary costs for individuals).

You will need to register for the event using HASSRA Live, and will need to make your way to Rhyl Marina by 08:15am, ready for an 08:45am sailing. The competition will last approximately 10 hours, and we expect to be returning to the Marina around 7pm. Further joining instructions will be sent out nearer the time to confirm details.

As always, novices are welcome, and we will be able to arrange for kit, bait and tuition on the day (you will only need to bring suitable clothing and footwear, i.e. sturdy shoes / boots, and waterproofs). Toilets are available on both boats, and tea / coffee is provided during the trip.

Although this is a competition, we always ensure that there is a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, and many of those who come along as novices, return in subsequent years!

You will also be allowed, (subject to legal size limitations), to keep some of your catch to take home 'for the table'!!
