New to open water swimming? Then this Introduction to Open Water Swimming is the one for you…

 COURSE AIMS

• To introduce swimmers with no experience of Open Water swimming to the wonderful world of wild swimming
• To give swimmers the confidence to swim in Open Water

COURSE CONTENT
The course content is designed to be flexible enough that all levels of swimming competency and experience can be involved, either on an individual one-2-one basis or in larger groups. Course content can, therefore, be adapted to suit the needs of the swimmer(s)

• Welcome & safety briefing – lakeside
• How to put a wetsuit on
• Water entry & acclimatisation
• Sculling/­Floating exercises
• Bubbles/­breathing basics
• Venue/course understanding
• How to remove a wetsuit
• Debrief session

At Welton Waters Adventure Centre, they believe that everyone should swim their swim - regardless of age, sex, race, ability or level and want everyone to have a successful open water swim.

**Important**
This is not a swimming lesson to teach you how to swim - it is an introduction to swimming in open cold water

Following on from the swimming introduction you may also have an introduction to either paddle boarding or kayaking 

Prices are as follows

HASSRA Members

£7.50 for either Swimming or PaddleBoarding/­Kayaking

£10 if you want to do both

Non Members

£15 for either Swimming or PaddleBoarding/­Kayaking

£30 if you want to do both

HASSRA members can bring a maximum of 2 non members with them
