Move Your Own Way in May

We’re delighted to be launching the HASSRA 31‑Day “Move Your Own Way in May” Challenge, a movement and wellbeing initiative running throughout the whole of May.

This challenge isn’t about being the fastest, going the furthest, or reaching the highest targets — it’s about doing what you can, in a way that works for you, and enjoying the benefits of sustained activity.

The challenge launches today 1 May, when you’ll receive an email with your Activity Chart to help you record your movement. There are lots of ways to earn points, from chair yoga and workplace movement breaks to gardening, cycling and swimming. All we ask is that you challenge yourself safely and sensibly.

At the end of the challenge, we’ll share a link to enter the prize draw. Everyone who takes part in the challenge will have the chance to win one of 20 × £100 cash prizes, awarded at random. 

The closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 21 June, with winners drawn on Monday 22 June.

Before taking part, please make sure you feel fit and well enough to engage in physical activity. Only take part in movements you feel comfortable and safe doing. If you have any existing medical conditions, injuries or health concerns, please seek advice from a medical professional before increasing your activity levels. Listen to your body and stop immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy or experience pain.

If it helps, feel free to buddy up with a colleague or bring along a cheerleader for encouragement, as long as it supports your safety and comfort.
