NORCROSS BOWLING CLUB
Have you ever fancied taking up or, if you have played before, returning to playing Crown Green Bowls. A pleasant, friendly sport providing good, but not strenuous, outdoor exercise.
Norcross Bowling Club are looking for new people who may like to join one of the Club’s teams that play in the local leagues next season.
We are a well-established, friendly club with conveniently sited facilities, a green that is a little bit out of the ordinary, and modest subscriptions.
Our bowling green is part of the HASSRA sports-field, Anchorsholme Lane, Thornton Cleveleys FY5 5EA.
Our members are always ready to help inexperienced players and an ideal place to start would be our Monday afternoon team that plays in the second division of the Welcome Afternoon League. This is an open age league and is open to male and female players.
The season runs from March to September. Division two will include twelve teams who we will play on a home and away basis with travel ranging from Fleetwood Bowling Club in the north to Ashton Gardens, St Annes in the south. Games commence at 2:00 pm and for away fixtures you can practice on the green for 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the game.
As regards subscriptions players need to be a member of the bowling club (£10 annual subscription) and be a member of HASSRA.
Although we are some months away from playing matches now is the time that we need to put plans in place for next season.
We would be very keen to hear from anyone who fancies joining us, and are very keen to welcome you aboard for the 2026 season.
