Beamish pass booking and information

HASSRA Sunderland has renewed our corporate passes for Beamish Museum so that our members can continue to get discounted entry to the museum – and more people than ever are able to use it!

On any given day we have space for 10 visitors to the museum, rather than only two passes available at any one time – this allows more people to visit the museum and gives better availability for all. Places will continue to be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

We no longer require a booking form, instead please add your details to this email template and send it to the HASSRA Sunderland inbox, including how many people will be using the pass (children under five years old go free). We will then reply to confirm your booking and how to pay.

We will still charge a nominal fee for use of the pass, however the prices have changed slightly to reflect the new availability:

No. of Visitors Price
Up to 5 £5
6 £6
7 £7
8 £8
9 £9
10 £10

Your booking is not confirmed until we receive payment, we must receive all payment no later than two days before your chosen date.

When attending Beamish Museum, you must take confirmation of identity; this can be your on-site ID pass or your HASSRA membership card. You may also wish to take a copy of your confirmation email from us although this is not required.

HASSRA Sunderland have 10 passes per day and North East HASSRA have 25 passes per day.

While we are all part of the wider HASSRA community, there are differences in how Beamish passes are managed between the Region and HASSRA Sunderland.

  • Regional Passes: These are provided free of charge.
  • HASSRA Sunderland Passes: We apply a small fee to help cover the cost of the passes, as we don’t have access to the same level of funding as the Region. This fee helps us manage the significant upfront cost, especially as not all members use the passes. Any money collected beyond the cost of the corporate membership is donated to charity. This year, the proceeds will be split equally between Harbour Support Services and Dementia North East.

Please note that passes are allocated on a first come, first served basis, regardless of whether you choose to use the Region’s or HASSRA Sunderland’s passes.
