Friday 22 August – Cleanskin Wines Quarry House Canteen 17:30

Cleanskin wine is a term for wine whose label does not indicate the winery or the winemaker's name. This normally occurs if there is an increase in number of bottles in a certain year, or a winery needs space for its next vintage. They are typically sold at a discounted price, and the winery doesn’t want to advertise they are selling their wines at a reduced price.. I have picked up a selection of these from Majestic. We will be tasting 2 whites and 4 reds from a range of countries like France, New Zealand, Chile, and Australia. It will be good to see if we are getting a bargain, or a wine that has been difficult to sell.

So that we have an idea on numbers, and I can provide a better estimate of the cost of the event, can you let me know by close of play on 17 August, whether you are likely to attend.
