HASSRA Regional Individual Chess Championship 2024.

We are seeking entires for our upcoming Regional Chess competition. To help put this in place the organiser is keen to seek the views of interested members.

• Are you a member of a chess club? If so, please state the name.
• Are you an English Chess Federation Member?
• Are you interested in playing in the Regional Individual Chess Championship?
• Would you be interested in participating in the Regional Individual Chess Championship if it included a prize for unrated or novice players?
• If you are interested in participating in the Regional Individual Chess Championship, in which Town/City/Area would you prefer for it to be held?
• If HASSRA Inter-Regional team matches were organised and funded, would you be interested in participating?

Once expressions of interest are received we will decide a date and venue for the event.

Regional Competition Details

All participants must be HASSRA members. New members welcome. All standards of play are welcome

The competition will include level doubles, mixed doubles and a handicapped tournament.

The format – All-play-all, Swiss, etc. – and time control will be determined when the number of entries is known

Travel expenses are payable in line with the Y&H expenses guide

If a competitor has any special requirements – access, dietary etc....please include details when you apply via email to Helen to enter the competition.

The organiser will contact all participants at least five days prior to the event with directions to venue and any adjustments to details already advertised.
