Christmas Walk Coneysthorpe Saturday 13 December
The walk: This is a scenic circular walk of 6 miles with the express purpose of generating an appetite for Xmas lunch. The walk starts in Coneysthorpe taking a circular route to the edge of Hay-a-Park, a former gravel pit that is now a SSSI.
There are no refreshments / services en-route; you should bring a hot drink and snack(s).
Public Transport is not a practical option for this event, if you would like, or can offer a lift, please let the organiser know.
Lunch: Lunch will be at the Tiger Inn at 13:30. You can choose from the festive or lunchtime menus. The pub has requested that we order in advance; please include your meal selection with your confirmation to join the event.
There is a subsidy of £5 for paid members of HASSRA Leeds Walking Club in 2025; it has become traditional to offset this against next year’s membership.
HASSRA Y&H members can claim back travel expenses and £5 subsidy towards lunch with proof of receipt, please claim via your HASSRA live account.

Clothing: Yorkshire in December can be cold, wet and muddy, and the terrain is arable - good walking boots are essential and extra warm and waterproof layers must be carried. A change of clothes for the pub is recommended.
