Coneythorpe – Hay-a Park Circular - Xmas Walk and Lunch - Sat 13th Dec 2025

The Walk:- This is a scenic circular walk of 6 miles with the express purpose of generating an appetite for Xmas lunch. The walk starts in Coneysthorpe taking a circular route to the edge of Hay-a-Park, a former gravel pit that is now a SSSI.

There are no refreshments / services en-route; you should bring a hot drink and snack(s).

Clothing - Yorkshire in December can be cold, wet and muddy, and the terrain is arable - good walking boots are essential and extra warm and waterproof layers must be carried. A change of clothes for the pub is recommended.

Meeting point and time: - Meet at 9:45 for a prompt start at 10:00 at The Tiger Inn, Shortsill Lane, Coneythorpe, North Yorkshire. HG5 0RY. There is a car park at the pub for those travelling by car.

Public Transport is not a practical option for this event, if you would like, or can offer a lift, please let the organiser know.

Lunch :- will be at the Tiger Inn at 13:30. You can choose from the festive or lunchtime menus. The pub has requested that we order in advance; please include your meal selection with your confirmation to join the event.
