This will be an all-day event on Saturday 6th September. It will take place at The Warwickshire Golf Club, Leek Wootton, Warwick CV35 7QT, a short drive from the University Campus.

Competitors can make their own travel arrangements due to the transportation of equipment. However, a coach may be provided to and from the venue should there be sufficient demand.

Reasonable expenses can be claimed under the normal HASSRA Travel and Subsistence rules.

Event Format and Rules

This is a National Championship event.

Each region will be invited to select a maximum of two men and two women to take part.

The format of the event will be an 18-hole Stroke Play competition. Prizes will be awarded in respect of both Scratch and Handicap categories in the Men’s and Ladies’ competitions. The handicap limit for men will be 28 and 30 for ladies. A player with a higher handicap can enter but will be required to play off the maximum handicap for their respective competition.

Further competition rules and the rules of the golf club will be made available to all competitors prior to the event.

Kit and Equipment

Suitable footwear and clothing should be worn.

Competitors will need to provide their own equipment.

The use of golf carts (buggies) in the competition is only permitted for competitors with medical certificates or for competitors that would otherwise be unable to participate due to physical limitations as a result of their age, in line with the recognised R & A rules of Golf.

Lunch will be provided and refreshments will be available to purchase.

Consideration will be given to those transporting expensive equipment when allocating accommodation and parking.

Although some prior experience is recommended to take part in this event, it is not essential.
