Venue and Timings

This will be an all-day event on Saturday 13th July. It will take place in Warwick Arts Centre on the University Campus, a short walk from the HASSRA reception.

Event Format and Rules

This is a National event but regions are invited to submit names of all members, one entry per category.

The competition will comprise three categories:

Category 1 - Solo Voice (Classical)

Category 2 - Solo Voice (Contemporary/Popular)

Category 3 - Solo Instrument, including Pianoforte

The maximum performance time for each competitor will be 10 minutes. It is suggested that no more than three separate pieces are performed within this time limit.

Rehearsal time can be provided on Friday, if required.

Further competition and adjudicator’s rules will be made available prior to the event.

Kit and Equipment

With the exception of those playing the Pianoforte, an official accompanist will be provided if required. Competitors may bring an accompanist at their own expense, or backing music that does not contain any vocal elements (Category 2 only)

Lunch will be provided and further refreshments will be available to purchase.

Although some prior experience is recommended to take part in this event, it is not essential.
